Statue of the Chinese god of war Guan Yu 关羽 (Guānyǔ). Guan Yu (known by many different names, including Yunchang, Guandi, and Guan Gong or 'Lord Guan'), was a Chinese military general who was deified after his many impressive accomplishments and embodies wealth, learning and love. In Feng Shui he is a symbol of strength, loyalty, and protection. In Buddhism, Guan Yu is known as Sangharama Bodhisattva, which means protector. The dragon crescent blade 青龍偃月刀 (Qīnglóng yǎnyuèdāo), the weapon of Guan Yu is a symbol of repelling the evil, bad people, and people who want to take advantage of you. Guan Gong is remembered as a cultural hero and is worshipped by millions of people in China and around the world.
